Who we are
Northstar Security Advisors is a cybersecurity advisory firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, working with SaaS companies in the US and Canada.
Use of this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes: to learn about our services, request a fit call, or contact us. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it for spam purposes, or impersonate another visitor when submitting forms.
Consultation requests
Submitting a fit-call request through this website does not create a contract. It is a request for a 30-minute conversation about whether we are a good fit for your situation. We will respond with three time options for the call. We may decline the call (with a referral) if your situation is outside our practice area.
Engagement terms
The terms of any actual work we perform together are governed by:
- A signed engagement letter or Master Services Agreement executed before any work begins.
- The applicable confidentiality, data-handling, and regulatory requirements specified in that agreement.
- Industry-standard professional indemnity insurance carried by Northstar Security Advisors.
Nothing in this page modifies the terms of an executed engagement letter. In any conflict, the engagement letter controls.
Limitation of liability (website use only)
[Replace with attorney-reviewed liability language. The placeholder paragraph below is illustrative structure only; specific dollar caps, insurance language, and jurisdiction-specific carve-outs must be drafted by a licensed attorney for the firm.]
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Northstar Security Advisors’s total liability for any claim related to use of this website is limited to a reasonable cap to be specified by counsel. Liability for engagement work is governed by the executed engagement letter and the firm’s professional indemnity coverage. Nothing in these terms limits liability for negligence that causes death or personal injury, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Disputes
Any dispute related to this website is governed by the laws of [Replace with attorney-specified jurisdiction]. The parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution before initiating any legal action.
[Replace this section with the dispute-resolution language reviewed by the firm’s attorney. Choice of forum, arbitration clauses, and small-claims-court carve-outs vary by state and require specific drafting.]
Updates
We may update these terms as the firm or the website changes. The “Last updated” date above shows the most recent revision.
